Information processed
BrightStar may process your login email, agency profile, customer names and contact details, vehicle and policy information, RC and policy files, debit or credit records, app preferences and backup metadata that you choose to enter or upload.
Why information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, manage customers and vehicles, show policy-expiry information, maintain transaction records, create documents, provide reminders, perform backups and restores, and respond to support or deletion requests.
Where information is stored
Firebase stores authentication information, account-linked customer records and synchronized credit ledgers. BrightStar also keeps an account-specific offline cache on the device so available records can remain accessible during temporary connection loss. Google Drive is used only when you authorise and start a backup or restore; it remains user-controlled backup storage and is not the live app database. RC, policy and separately exported files may also exist on the device or in locations you choose.
Sharing and service providers
BrightStar does not sell customer data. Data may be processed by services required for app operation, including Firebase, Google authentication and Google Drive. When you use Android sharing or WhatsApp, the selected content is handled by the service you choose.
Security and retention
Reasonable technical safeguards are used, but no device or online service can be guaranteed completely secure or continuously available. Cloud account data and synchronized records remain until you delete the relevant records or account. The app clears its account-specific offline cache during account deletion, while uninstalling clears local app data. Google Drive backups and separately exported or shared files are not removed automatically and must be deleted separately by you.
Your choices and rights
You may review or correct entered records, control permissions, create or remove backups, withdraw optional Google access, sign out, and delete your account inside the app. If you cannot access the app, use the account deletion page. Separately exported files and Google Drive backups may require separate deletion by you.
Customer information entered by users
You must have lawful authority to enter and process another person's information and documents. Use customer information only for legitimate motor-policy business purposes and do not collect unnecessary information.
Children
BrightStar Motor Policy Manager is a business administration app intended for adults and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
Material changes may be presented inside the app with an updated effective date and, where required, a new request for consent.
Privacy and support contact
Email brightstar.manager.support@gmail.com for privacy, correction, support or deletion requests.
